Dear John,
I'm writing to you on behalf of an incredible group of local young gymnasts.
In fact, they are gymnastic champions; many of our girls and boys are
reigning Missouri State and Midwest Regional champions, and some compete at the
national level. These gymnasts are local to the community, proudly representing
the St. Louis Gym Centre (SLGC) throughout the country as role models, as
leaders, and as ambassadors of goodwill. They are a testament to what dedicated,
selfless coaches can accomplish with a group of talented, committed, and
enthusiastic students.
No other community in this region has a not-for-profit institution like SLGC.
In the SLGC Training Center, respect for others, self-confidence, discipline,
and perseverance are nurtured and rewarded. These children will carry the
lessons they learn now with them as they discover and define themselves as our
future leaders.
Because SLGC is a not-for-profit organization, it is often difficult to find
the funds needed to buy new equipment like balance beams, vault tables, pommel
horses, and parallel bars. Further, because safety is paramount, the gym must
also continually invest in its environment. In addition to the ongoing financial
and volunteer commitments of the gymnasts' parents, the gym depends upon
donations from supporters like you to help to make these children's dreams come
true.
Together, we can continue this tradition of challenging these kids to reach
their full potential. I encourage you to stop by the St. Louis Gym Centre in
Webster Groves to see what this training facility means to these budding
citizens and to give generously to help this enterprise thrive.
Sincerely,
