Dear John,
I'm writing to you on behalf of an incredible group of local young gymnasts.
In fact, they are gymnastic champions; many of our girls and boys are
reigning Missouri State and Midwest Regional champions, and some compete at the
national level. These gymnasts live in our community and proudly represent this
area and the St. Louis Gym Centre (SLGC) throughout the country as role models,
as leaders, and as ambassadors of goodwill. They are a testament to what
dedicated, selfless coaches can accomplish with a group of talented, committed,
and enthusiastic students.
In addition to successfully competing in two of the most challenging male and
female gymnastic regions in the country, SLGC and its athletes annually host one
of the nation's largest co-ed competitions with more than 1,000 gymnasts vying
for gold. Teams from 11 states participate simply because of SLGC's reputation
for excellence in competition. The kids representing SLGC are the team to beat!
Because SLGC is a not-for-profit organization, it is difficult to find all of
the funds needed to maintain an event of quality. In addition to the ongoing
financial and volunteer commitments of the gymnasts' parents, the gym depends
upon donations from outside supporters to continue its traditions of high
standards and competitive success.
Sometimes a strong commitment to health, education, and personal values is
not enough. We need your financial help. Please review the attached materials
and then let me show you how SLGC can offer your company excellent exposure to
an audience of 5,000 at the tournament and countless other thousands who will
visit the gym in the coming year.
