Gymnastics is one of the fastest growing sports in the nation, with more than 3 million participating families and 91,000 competitive athletes. It is often referred to as "the toughest sport in the world," and continues to be the most popular summer Olympic event, consistently receiving the largest percentage of media and television coverage during the Olympic Games.

In support of this tradition, St. Louis Gym Centre (SLGC) was established in 1973 as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and is now one of the oldest, private gymnastics clubs in the Midwest. The 21,000 square foot training center provides instruction to more than 1,000 athletes each week and is home to State, Regional, National, and International Champions. SLGC is an official member of USA Gymnastics (USAG) and annually hosts one of the largest, USAG-sanctioned, co-ed meets in the country. In the very competitive Region III Men's and Region IV Women's divisions, SLGC teams consistently rank at or near the top. Some of our best gymnasts have trained at the US Olympic Training Center and competed at the Junior Olympics Nationals. SLGC coaches are members of the United States Elite Coaches Association and are USAG-Certified.

Through competitive and non-competitive programs in gymnastics, martial arts, cheerleading, and movement education, SLGC coaches and staff work to develop well-adjusted learners who embrace life. More than 100,000 families from Missouri and adjoining states have been served by SLGC, including 3,000 physically challenged children and 2,500 students on financial aid. As SLGC's reputation for excellence continues to grow, so too does its need for individual and community support.
