Individual & Small Business Donations
Solicitation of individual and small business donations is an important part
of fundraising for SLGC’s annual meet. All dollar amounts and in-kind donations
help to defray the high cost of this event that draws more than 5,000 attendees
each year. All SLGC families are strongly encouraged to solicit donations from
individuals and small businesses with whom they are familiar. The following
materials and processes have been designed to manage this effort:

Process:
If you plan to solicit small business support in the form of an exhibit
booth or goods in-kind donation, please advise an SLGC staff member at the
front desk. Provide the name of the company you are soliciting, along with
any contact information that you have. This information will be collected
in order to minimize duplication of effort and to keep SLGC management
informed of the status of fundraising activities.
If you plan to solicit individual or small business support through the
sale of event program ads or "Friends of SLGC" donations, please see the
detailed instructions provided on each form. (See forms B-04 and B-07)
Hard copies of the materials listed above are available at the front
desk. Electronic copies are available on CD or through email. Please
advise the SLGC staff member of the format that you prefer.
After you have familiarized yourself with the sponsorship materials,
please contact any of the individuals listed below for additional
information or guidance.
All sponsorship materials are due no later than October 15, 2007.
